Great stay in Garton's cape hotel ! this hotel will not disappoint you. beforehand we were going through the pictures, thinking 'is it really going to be that beautiful?' and trust me: it is! the rooms are spacious, bright, and clean. the beds are big and comfortable and the room has both ac and a fan. the bathroom is stylish with a super big walk-in shower: perfect! we had chosen the room facing the ocean, so the views were outstanding (also, the rooms facing the road/lagoon are probably quite noisy, as there is also a train going by every now and then). the pool is not big, but that was ok for us. the staff is super friendly as well, from the drivers to the clearners and from the receptionists to the waiters: everyone was always helpful. the food is of very high quality, and there is a lot of choice. yes, it's more expensive than other restaurants, but it's still not that expensive, and it's good value for money.

World class rooms with excellent staff and service We happened on this gem when travelling through Sri Lanka and wanting to stay around Unawatuna on a beach. We booked for two nights and srayed for four! The pictures do not do this lovely hotel justice! We arrived and were not overly happy with the room I had booked online, so the fabulous GM, Dileepa fixed our world, and we ended up with a gorgeous corner suite hanging over the ocean! Totally world class for such small money ( when compared to travel in other countires ). Breakfast was included, and they do a first class job of that as well. We ended up with room service a couple of times, and that too excelled! All the staff is a delight! Thank you Garton's Cape for looking after us so well!

Great Location One of the great things about this property is its location. Its right there on the beach away from town. Fitness center is quiet modest and barely has basic equipment. Swimming pool and sunbath area has great views. Consider a room towards the beach or you will end up looking at road behind the hotel. Food was average but menu has some Indian cuisines. Best hotel where I have ever been! This place is paradise! Hotel was so beautiful and comfortable, and everything was just like in the pictures. The view, rooms, food and staff! Beautiful rooms and views. Clean spacious rooms. Loved the pool which is right next to the sea amazing view and very relaxing. Very clean rooms at all times and friendly cleaning staff.

We were greated with drinks and cold towels and then shown to our rooms with lovely ocean views. The food was great with a good variety, I had king prawns and they were huge. Unfortunately our son was ill whilst we were staying here and was admitted to hospital with renal colic (kidney stones) The staff were brilliant, helping to arrange transport etc. Hotel has lovely pool and is on its own beach.Sadly with our son being ill and the weather not being great we didn't make the most of these. Would love to stay here again.
